Know who ordered what
In a group practice, the lab bill can cover work from several doctors. The office needs to know which cases belong to each dentist, what was ordered and which charges go with that work.
Lumera gives each doctor and associate their own account. Orders remain associated with the prescribing doctor, giving the practice a way to review the work and the related lab spending. Managers can filter billing by doctor within the clinic they are reviewing, and invoice details identify the doctor associated with each case.
That makes a practical difference when someone asks about a charge. The office can find the relevant case and documentation rather than working backward from a total.
Give managers access to the practices they run
An office manager needs visibility into the practice's cases. A regional manager needs access to several offices. A corporate team needs a view across its dental support organization, or DSO.
Lumera supports those account structures. Office and regional accounts can cover selected clinics. Corporate accounts can cover the clinics belonging to their DSO, with access to individual practices for case and billing details.
Each doctor keeps their own account while management gets the oversight needed to organize the lab relationship.
Follow the work through the lab
Managers can check case progress and shipment information, see what is arriving and find the records needed for follow-up. They can also review the lab's invoice and payment information.
The office can use that information alongside its own scheduling process. It helps answer everyday questions: Has the case shipped? Which practice is it going to? Where is the invoice? What is still owed to the lab?
Get the paperwork before the box arrives
Once a case has been submitted, an authorized user can download its prescription PDF with pricing. The office doesn't have to wait for the crown to arrive to retrieve that information.
For physical crown cases, preliminary invoice availability generally starts at shipment. The office can prepare a preliminary statement for eligible cases before delivery and use it for its administrative documentation. Final invoices remain available through the billing workflow.
These documents serve different purposes. The prescription records the case, the preliminary statement covers eligible work, and the final invoice records the lab bill. Payment status in Lumera refers to that lab bill.
Build reporting around the group
Corporate teams often need to look at ordering and spending from several angles. They may want a review by doctor, by office, by product or by billing period.
We can work with a DSO to define reporting around those questions. Doctor-level ordering, lab spend and the performance measures relevant to the group can inform the reporting we build. The account structure gives us the basis for keeping individual doctors visible within a larger organization.
When discussing a corporate setup, bring the reports your team actually uses. We can review the existing tools with you and work through the additional reporting or consolidated summaries your group needs.
Our software is developed around Lumera's operation, so we can shape the workflow with the practices using it. That is an important part of the partnership we offer growing groups.
